The business environment seems to get more competitive all
the time. Many of the challenges facing today's businesses are basic in
nature and are being experienced by other businesses, regardless of the
services they provide.
Business owners and their employees are invited to take advantage of the
business seminars and workshops offered by the Sioux Falls Area Chamber
of Commerce's Small Business Council. Following is a list of seminars
and workshops offered by the Chamber’s Small Business Council. For
more information, call (605) 336-1620 or email Kate Foley. Click

Sponsored by the Chamber’s Small Business Council, Business Sense
Workshops provide practical information to benefit your business or organization.
Workshops are held each Tuesday in January-March. They are “brown-bag”
— bring your own lunch — and last for one hour. Topics have
ranged from human resources issues, dress code, advertising tips for small
businesses, and credit and collections.
Get your day started with Business @ Breakfast, a Chamber Small Business
Council program. This program provides business owners with the opportunity
to get together with other business owners to share thoughts on matters
of mutual concern to achieve solutions to common problems.
Participants draw upon the collective experience of the Sioux Falls business
community and become better acquainted with their neighbors in business.
These workshops are generally held during the summer months and feature
a variety of topics from workers compensation to identity theft.
Chamber Café is a series of one-hour programs on a variety of topics
presented by Chamber members and their employees in their areas of expertise.
All Chamber Café sessions are held at the Sioux Falls Area Chamber
of Commerce from April-September on the last or fourth Wednesday of each
month.
