Agri-Business Division Advisory Council

Purpose: To advance and promote the Sioux Empire as an agricultural center.
Activities: Ag Appreciation Day and the Sioux Empire Farm Show.

Ambassador Committee

Purpose: To provide a stable source of income via dues by securing new Chamber members through combined efforts with the Membership Department.

Purpose: To promote and enhance the contributions of education to the Sioux Falls area.

Purpose: To enhance corporate responsibility in the Sioux Empire and to increase the number and percentage of businesses active in the Sioux Falls area community by subscribing to and becoming high-quality, corporate citizens.
Activities: Executive briefings and business tours.

Purpose: To provide an information-based forum and a pro-active membership addressing transportation issues for the benefit of the Sioux Falls business community.

Community Appeals Committee

Purpose: To qualify and provide orderly scheduling of capital fund drives.
Activities: Research, interview and select capital fund drives

Convention & Visitors Bureau Advisory Council

Purpose: To market and showcase the city of Sioux Falls in order to expand the numbers and accommodate the needs of visitors to the city.
Activities: Involvement in the Sioux Falls visitor industry’s efforts to bring visitor business to the city.
Meeting Time: Fourth Thursday of each month at noon

Purpose: To coordinate, promote and monitor military, veteran and veterans support facilities activity within the Sioux Falls area.

Purpose: To develop and promote Sioux Falls as a regional sports and recreation center, provide volunteer support and create a positive economic impact through sporting events.

Tax Council 
|
Committee Chair: Ray "Woody" Woodsend, Dougherty & Company, LLC
Purpose: To study and issue reports on public fiscal information and policies as they relate to the economic health of the region.
Activities: Serve as the Chamber’s think tank on issues related to taxation and government spending by preparing and issuing in-depth studies, work with Chamber lobbyists to review proposed tax changes and provide findings to the Issues Management Council and Board of Directors, work with coalitions and individuals on tax issues, propose new ways of meeting public fiscal challenges.

Young Professionals Network

Purpose: To cultivate an informed and involved young professional community in the Sioux Falls area in order to retain and attract young and diverse talent.
