This year, 20 teacher projects that incorporate innovation into classrooms will be funded by Program Enhancement Project Proposal (PEPP) Grants thanks to the Sioux Falls School Board and the Sioux Falles Education Association (SFEA). For over 30 years, the SFEA and School Board have jointly supported PEPP applications that fit within the individual school/program’s vision and priorities. All proposals must meet one or more of the following criteria:
Teachers present their applications to the committee, which is comprised of administrators and teachers. In the past, funded proposals have included maker spaces to explore STEM, flexible seating options, specialized books, iPads, GoPros, and virtual reality equipment. Each year, $10,000 is allocated for these grants, and no proposal can exceed $1,200.
