Ag Appreciation Day

Each year, the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce recognizes the role area farmers and ranchers play in our economy at Ag Appreciation Day. This event is held in August in conjunction with the Sioux Empire Fair. Volunteers serve a complimentary lunch to thank our ag producers.

| Annual Meeting Ticket Sales
|
Help sell tickets to the premier business event of the year — the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting, held in October. This event is not to be missed and counts more than 1,700 business leaders in attendance each year. Help us sell tickets by working with other volunteers to personally invite members to attend the Annual Meeting.

| Membership Drives
|
In business, it’s all about who you know. Twice a year, the Chamber’s Ambassador Committee seeks a few good volunteers to help them sell the benefits of Chamber membership. If you’re connected and you believe in the Chamber’s mission, we want you! The membership drives last two weeks each and take place in the fall and the spring.

| Operation Thank You
|
Three publications plus 300 volunteers equals an opportunity for the Chamber to say “thank you” to our members — all in one day. This annual event has Chamber volunteers hand-deliver the Sioux Falls Community Guide, Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Membership Directory and Annual Report to members. Members are also surveyed about how the Chamber can improve its services. This is a great way to be involved without taking a lot of time.

| Sioux Empire Farm Show
|
For more than 50 years, the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce has sponsored the Sioux Empire Farm Show, a week-long annual event that brings an estimated 30,000 people to Sioux Falls. More than 300 volunteers are needed to pull off an event of this magnitude. A background in agriculture is not required.

| Sports & Recreation Tournament Hosting
|
Sioux Falls is proud to be the host community for a variety of athletic tournaments throughout the year. Volunteers are needed to staff hospitality rooms and assist with event set-up.
